Caribbean Poker Classic Poker Tournament
The Caribbean Poker Classic is an annual poker tournament in November that takes
place in a Caribbean locale. The 2008 Caribbean Poker Classic Tournament
is being held aboard the Royal Caribbean
Freedom of the Seas cruise ship
November 16 - 23. The cruise ship leaves out of Miami, Florida, on
November 16, and returns to Miami on November 23, with stops at San Juan in
Puerto Rico, Charlotte Amalie in St. Thomas, and Philipsburg in St. Maarten.
The Caribbean Poker Classic is an excellent poker tournament for players looking to combine a
Caribbean cruise vacation with a major poker tournament. The Freedom of
the Seas is one of Royal Caribbean's flagship cruise liners with extensive WiFi
capabilities and luxurious staterooms. While not playing poker, players
can indulge in a wide variety of activities from rock climbing to ice skating
(yes, there is an ice rink on the ship).
The Caribbean Poker Classic is a unique poker tournament in that the players are
all online poker players. The cruise ship poker room is actually closed to
regular cruise patrons during this cruise. The poker room is open to
Caribbean Poker Classic players while the ship is sailing (the poker room is
closed while in port) and players can join the Caribbean Poker Classic poker
tournaments, satellite tournaments, or the side poker games using their online
poker player account or cash. Most of the players in the main event
Caribbean Poker Classic Championship Tournament will have won their tournament entry fee
by playing in online satellite poker tournaments.
The Caribbean Poker Classic consists of six days of no limit
Texas Holdem poker
tournaments. The action starts the first day of the cruise with a no Limit
Texas Holdem Satellite poker tournament at 10:00 p.m. There are no limit
Texas Holdem poker tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $300 to $1000 as well
as the main event $2,500 buy-in Caribbean Poker Classic Championship poker
tournament which takes place over two days November 21-22. Players can
expect to find plenty of side games in the poker room.
To
play in the Caribbean Poker Classic, go to
InterPoker,
download their poker software and register a player account. Then join one
of the Caribbean Poker Classic satellite tournaments to win your place in the
Caribbean Poker Classic Championship. You can also use your InterPoker
player account to directly buy into the Caribbean Poker Classic.
