Las Vegas Mirage Poker Showdown Tournament

The Mirage Poker Showdown poker tournament at the Las Vegas Mirage Hotel Casino is one of the first stops on the World Poker Tour.  The Las Vegas Mirage Hotel Casino is located on the Strip and is an elegant venue for this World Poker Tour tournament.  The Mirage is a first class hotel resort with well appointed rooms, a classy casino, and plenty of good restaurants and entertainment on the premises.  The poker room is very comfortable and has 31 tables offering a good variety of poker games and daily poker tournaments.

The Mirage Poker Showdown Tournament is primarily a Texas Holdem poker tournament although there are some Omaha poker games and 7 card stud poker tournaments.  The Mirage Poker Showdown tournaments run in May.  The winner of the main event $10,000 buy-in Mirage Poker Showdown Championship Tournament will not only get the prize money for that poker tournament, but also a buy-in ($25,000) to the World Poker Tour Championship at the Las Vegas Bellagio Hotel Casino which takes place in April.

Players can also participate in daily satellite poker tournaments which begin at the Mirage poker room on May.  Super satellite poker tournament take place the first few weeks of May.  Super satellite tournaments typically have a $500 buy-in and allow unlimited rebuys in the first hour.  The third week of May, players will find $1,500 buy-in Super Satellite poker tournaments.  Super Satellites will award as many entries as possible to the $10,000 Mirage Poker Showdown Championship Tournament.

The winners of some of the individual Mirage Poker Showdown tournaments will also receive an entry into the main event Showdown Championship Poker Tournament.
